Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that loved music. When she was a kid, she listened to many traditional music as well as old Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, along with the dramatic shows that she attends. Ana began to learn how to play and sing in the early years alongside her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. As an instructor and performer in the local area and instructor, her passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana has been a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
